The ACE Centre is on the Lookout for New Talent!

Tuesday, 13th November 2018

The ACE Centre is looking for new talent for its monthly Afternoon Variety Shows.

From singers and comedians to musicians, dancers and ventriloquists, the Nelson-based arts, culture and enterprise centre is looking for fresh new acts to add to its line-up.

The Afternoon Variety Shows, which are hosted by Glen South and Martin McCarthy, are held in The ACE Centre’s theatre each month with a host of different talent at every show. But now they’re on the hunt for more! Could you be the one The ACE Centre is looking for?

Centre Manager, Sean Lawler, said: “Our Afternoon Variety Shows are extremely popular and we’ve got some great performers at every show, but we’re always on the lookout for new talent to keep the shows varied and entertaining.

The theatre holds an audience of two hundred people and the shows mostly sell out. A lot of our audience love them so much they come back every month, so new acts would be a great way to mix things up.

As well as local talent, we have acts from far and wide perform at our shows every month. We want to offer something different but keep true variety at the heart of all our shows.”

As well as offering an afternoon of entertainment, The ACE Centre’s Courtyard Bistro also serves food and drinks before and after the show and invites the audience for a post-show sing-a-long.
