Catching up with the Good Life

Tuesday, 5th July 2016

The spring and summer months at The Good Life Project are about more than looking after our plots. We love to have an open day or 2 and have also been out and about telling everyone about our amazing site and the amazing work we do.

In May, we attended our first market stall in Colne. This attracted a lot of interest from the locals and also earned us a few quid to help sustain our lovely project.

We followed this up in June with a couple of do’s within days of each other. The first one was a joint event with our neighbours at Community Garden Makers. We had a nice walk from their site to ours where we picked enough goodies for a picnic. Then off back to theirs to eat it!

This was followed a couple of days later by our second open day of 2016. We always put a good feed on and this attracted a few more Good Lifers to our beautiful project. Of course we haven’t finished yet as this month sees us open our gates once more. We are hosting ‘6 Weeks of Summer’ for you all to come and see what we get up to.

We are opening on Saturdays from 11am - 2pm every week from 16th July until 20th August. Come along and see what we do, have a browse through our ‘Crop Shop’ or a potter in the ‘Bloom Room’. We may even get the BBQ out if the sun makes an appearance so see you there!
