Alwyn joined Pendle Wavelengths five years ago. Originally weighing close to 25 stone, Alwyn changed his lifestyle through healthy eating and regular exercise to lose half his body weight, and he still attends the gym weekly to keep fit and the weight off.

He said: “The staff at Pendle Wavelengths, especially Rab Nawaz who helped me through my journey, have been there for me all the way; providing me with the support and motivation to achieve my goals and more.

“From the friendly, helpful staff aiding me to follow my fitness plan, to fellow members encouraging me and providing invaluable support, they have given me the self-confidence, will and determination to keep on improving. If anyone else is thinking of making a change too, I’d say that if I can do it, anyone can!”



Rab Nawaz, a Fitness Instructor at Pendle Wavelengths, has worked for Pendle Leisure Trust for 10 years.

He said: “I have been an avid sports and fitness fan for many years. I have a passion for weight-training and the gym environment. This is something I love doing and, I am very fortunate to say, it is also my profession. I am very proud to be part of the team at Pendle wavelengths.

“Whatever your fitness aims, I can help you reach your goal, be it, weight loss, weight gain, strength training or something more specific, my sessions are based on motivation, dedication and hard work. I will guide you every step of the  way.”
