Covid-19 Update: 31st December 2020

Thursday, 31st December 2020

All Pendle Leisure Trust's facilities are now closed until further notice following the Government’s latest COVID restrictions.

Pendle has been placed in Tier 4, meaning gyms and indoor swimming pools, indoor sports courts and dance studios must close – as well as personal care facilities, spas and entertainment venues.

Therefore, Pendle Leisure Trust has had no other option but to again close all its centres - Pendle Wavelengths, Nelson; Inside Spa, Nelson; Pendle Leisure Centre, Colne; West Craven Sports Centre, Barnoldswick and Seedhill Athletics and Fitness Centre, Nelson.

The Muni Theatre in Colne and The ACE Centre in Nelson will also remain closed.

The Trust’s community projects - The Good Life Project at Hodge House Allotments in Nelson and the Up & Active programmes - will also be closed.

Pendle Leisure Trust’s normal terms and conditions will not apply during this period of closure. There is no need to cancel your membership. It will be automatically frozen and extended to compensate for this period of closure. Pre-paid swimming lessons will be carried forward to when we reopen.

All members will still be able to access online fitness classes via the Activo Facebook group and the expiry date for all Inside Spa gift vouchers will be extended.

Pendle Leisure Trust's Chief Executive, Alison Goode, said: “Of course we are disappointed that we have once again had to close all our facilities. But having to comply with these latest Government restrictions and to protect public safety, we have no other option.

“As always, we have to put the safety and well-being of our loyal and active customers first and it’s vital that our staff are protected too. We will continue to follow Government guidance and once it is safe to re-open our doors we look forward to welcoming people back to enjoy our services and activities once again.

“In the meantime, we wish to thank all our customers for their continued support and ask people to please bear with us during this challenging period.”
