#KeepLovingLeisure

Pendle Leisure Trust has joined forces with other local leisure providers to encourage people to ‘Keep Loving Leisure’ once facilities reopen after this current lockdown.

#KeepLovingLeisure is a campaign led by Lancashire’s leisure providers and Active Lancashire with a goal of celebrating our leisure industry.

Working with numerous leisure providers throughout Lancashire, including Burnley, Blackpool, Lancaster, Fylde Coast, Rossendale, Ribble Valley, Chorley and Hyndburn, the campaign focuses on three key messages:

Safety – Proving our facilities will follow strict guidelines that ensure the safety of all customers and staff. These include limitations on the numbers of people who can access the facilities at the same time, strong enforcement of the social distancing measures and frequent cleaning and sanitising of the facilities.

Signage present in all buildings to encourage positive behaviour and reassure customers of feeling safe at all times.

Well-being Benefits – Promoting the benefits of physical activity on mental and physical health, emphasising how indoor exercise is something people look forward to because it makes them feel good – and we will do our upmost to make visits to our leisure facilities enjoyable and fun.

Supporting the Local Community – Emphasising the fact that as a local leisure provider, we are providing the local community with essential facilities and supporting the local economy.

Leisure centres safeguard over 2,000 jobs in Lancashire and provide residents with safe places to be active. They have an enormous impact on the longevity of the local economy and deserve to be supported.

Pendle Leisure Trust’s Chief Executive, Alison Goode, said: “I’m proud to be collaborating with other leisure providers across Lancashire to get the message across that it is safe to return to our facilities, how important exercise is for people’s health and well-being and to encourage them to keep loving leisure!
