RECRUITMENT OF A BOARD MEMBER

Pendle Leisure Trust is a not-for-profit organisation with charitable status, providing leisure facilities and wellbeing activities in the Pendle area. We aim to work in partnership with public, private and voluntary sector partners to improve service provision for the benefit of the community. Pendle Leisure Trust is responsible for the provision of leisure and recreation activities at the following facilities: Pendle Leisure Centre, Colne; West Craven Sports Centre, Barnoldswick; Pendle Wavelengths and Inside Spa, Nelson; Seedhill Athletics and Fitness Centre, Nelson; and The Muni Theatre, Colne.

We are looking to recruit two Board Members to complement the skills and commitment of our existing Members and support the Management Team with strategic direction. These positions are unpaid and require commitment to attend at least six meetings per year (usually held on the last Monday of the month at 6.30 pm).

We are looking for applicants with strategic backgrounds in Health, Estate Management, Education and Local Government Re-organisation.  Experience of being a member of a Board at a strategic level would be advantageous.
