Pendle Leisure Trust delivers a unique offering to any other gym class in the area. We take fitness to the water with our aqua gym classes with a wide-range of classes perfect for all ages, abilities and goals. With classes available at Pendle Leisure Centre, Pendle Wavelengths and West Craven Sports Centre, dive into a new challenge.

Aqua Circuits

A good all over workout. It’s great for fat burning and muscle toning, with varying exercises at different stations in and around the pool. You must be able to swim 50m.

Aqua Tai Chi

Aqua Tai Chi is a gentle and enjoyable progressive exercise that is mindful and holistic. It's suitable for all levels of fitness and you don't have to be a swimmer. The slow, gentle movements are designed to help improve your balance and co-ordination, to strengthen your joints and boost your well-being.

Aquarhythmics

This is a very effective class in the pool which uses water as resistance. It eliminates strain and impact while giving you the necessary benefits of improving stamina, strength and suppleness.

Exercise for Health

A safe challenging water based work out, putting less stress on your joints and muscles, a great all over body work out

Ladies Aquarhythmics

Aerobics-style exercise class in the water with our quali­fied instructor.

Swim Fit

This class provides everything you need to motivate, challenge and support you to reach your fitness goals. Whether that is to lose weight, to tone, to improve technique or just to become fitter and stronger. It is a fun and effective way to get those results you want, and because water is 800 times denser than air you are most likely to get there a lot quicker than any other workout!

Water Running

A fun and energetic session that makes use of floatation belts. Primarily in deep water, the session incorporates a wide range of exercises designed to increase cardiovascular strength and tone the different muscle groups.
