Born out of the development of professional athletes, strength and conditioning classes are perfectly adaptable into your daily workout. With classes based around improving your core physique to strength training, our classes at Pendle Leisure Centre, Pendle Wavelengths and West Craven Sports Centre will give you the edge on your fitness journey.

Adult Taekwondo

As well as the sporting and self-defence aspects to Taekwondo the exercise one gets from martial arts training improves balance, flexibility, stamina, strength and posture.

Badminton

This is the perfect session for those who want to play badminton(16+).Burn fat and improve your overall health. Play this fun game at your own pace that will help to improve your reflexes, co-ordination and balance. The best part is you don’t need a partner, racket or shuttle to join in you can just turn up and play.

A class which concentrates on the areas we love to hate. This traditional class is all about toning and tightening those all important areas.

Core Stability

The classes can help increase stability, reduce the risk of injury or recurring lower back pain, and increase your general physical fitness. You will benefit from an improvement in movement efficiency, increasing your confidence and gaining a better understanding of how your body moves.

Family Fit Taekwondo

Family Fitness Circuits

The Family Fitness Circuits class involves cardiovascular body-weight and strength training, which promises to be a fun and rewarding experience for the whole family. Suitable for ages 5+

Group Core

Help to tone up and strengthen your abs and lower back with a wide range of exercises.

Group Power

Group Power is a one-hour class that uses body weight exercises and an adjustable barbell loaded with weight plates. Like Pump start, it’s a low-weight, high-rep class The class is designed to be performed two to three days per week, with two days of rest in between.

K08 Circuits

In addition to the suspension trainer we now open up a completely different world of movements that focus on the stability muscles, core strength and plyometrics. Giving you an efficient variety of training possibilities in one class!..

Kettlebell Blast

The dynamic nature of the kettlebell will give you an all-in-one workout of a lifetime, combining both strength and cardio aspects.

Move and Tone (over 50's)

A low intensity bums ‘n’ tums style class that combines a low impact aerobics section with mat work and strength and flexibility exercises to produce a class that is suitable for the older adult.

No Strings Badminton

Pump Start

Pump Start is a high-repetition, resistance training, pre-choreographed exercise program. The potential benefits of Pump Start include calorie and fat burning benefits, improved aerobic fitness, muscular strength gains, improved muscular endurance capabilities and positive psychological benefits.

Step & Tone

Step and Tone is a cardio workout to ensure a good burn of calories (about 500), and a good muscle toning. After a few minutes of cardio routine follows a range of exercises for toning the upper body, arms, shoulders, legs, thighs and abdomen.

Walking Football

Walking football is a variant of association football that is aimed at keeping people aged over 50 involved with football if, due to a lack of mobility or for other reason, they are not able to play the traditional game. The manner in which the sport is played promotes cardiovascular fitness whilst producing the least stress on the body. It also helps participants maintain an active lifestyle.

Walking Netball

Walking Netball is a slower version of the game - it's still netball, but at a walking pace. The game has been designed so that anyone can play it, regardless of age or fitness level.

Young at Heart Circuits

A fun but challenging group exercise class for all fitness levels. This class incorporates a variety of cardiovascular and resistance exercises aimed at improving everyday activity levels in a relaxed atmosphere.
