With classes based around improving your core physique to strength training, our classes at Pendle Leisure Centre, Pendle Wavelengths and West Craven Sports Centre will give you the edge on your fitness journey.

Adult Taekwondo

As well as the sporting and self-defence aspects to Taekwondo the exercise one gets from martial arts training improves balance, flexibility, stamina, strength and posture.

Beginners Circuits

If you're new to circuit training, come and give our beginners class a try. It's designed to burn fat and improve your overall fitness and cardio

Bums & Tums

A class which concentrates on the areas we love to hate. This traditional class is all about toning and tightening those all important areas.

Core Stability

The classes can help increase stability, reduce the risk of injury or recurring lower back pain, and increase your general physical fitness. You will benefit from an improvement in movement efficiency, increasing your confidence and gaining a better understanding of how your body moves.

Family Fitness Circuits

The Family Fitness Circuits class involves cardiovascular body-weight and strength training, which promises to be a fun and rewarding experience for the whole family. Suitable for ages 5+

Group Core

Help to tone up and strengthen your abs and lower back with a wide range of exercises.

Group Power

Group Power is a one-hour class that uses body weight exercises and an adjustable barbell loaded with weight plates. Like Pump start, it’s a low-weight, high-rep class The class is designed to be performed two to three days per week, with two days of rest in between.


In addition to the suspension trainer we now open up a completely different world of movements that focus on the stability muscles, core strength and plyometrics. Giving you an efficient variety of training possibilities in one class!..


Using a range of different weighted kettlebells, you will focus on more functional and dynamic movements to improve strength and fitness across the full body. Beginner to advance, all users will be put through their paces in this class.

Legs, Bums and Tums

This class is a mixture of low impact and cardio exercise that will reshape your legs, bum and tum. Burning calories, improving fitness, strength and increasing energy levels.

A low intensity exercise class to aid mobility and keep active.

Pump Start

Pump Start is a high-repetition, resistance training, pre-choreographed exercise program. The potential benefits of Pump Start include calorie and fat burning benefits, improved aerobic fitness, muscular strength gains, improved muscular endurance capabilities and positive psychological benefits.

Step 30 minute class

Step and Tone is a cardio workout to ensure a good burn of calories (about 500), and a good muscle toning. After a few minutes of cardio routine follows a range of exercises for toning the upper body, arms, shoulders, legs, thighs and abdomen.

Strength and Core

A total body conditioning class that uses resistance and weights to work on strength and tone, as well as aerobic exercise to work on cardiovascular fitness. This class combines all aspects of fitness to give you the ultimate full body workout.

Women who Lift

This is a female only casual lifting class to work and develop confidence with free weights in a team spirited enviroment. Emphasises on technique, knowledge and skill help the participants understandthey are doing everything with proper form and can then train in a free weights gym with full confidence
Please note that there are only twelve spaces for Women Who Lift. Due to the demand of the class if you miss one week it is possible you may not be able to book on the next week as those who attend get priority to book on for the next class.
