Pendle Leisure Centre & Open Door’s Life Improvement Program
Pendle Leisure Trust are working together with Colne’s Open Door Centre this summer to enhance the lives of 10 local people through social interactions, confidence building, and general fitness. For 10-weeks, Pendle Leisure Centre in Colne will be holding free weekly exercise classes for 10 selected individuals, giving those who need it, a reason to leave the house. Our joint goal is to empower people who may not have the luxury of accessing a gym, equipping them with the skills and confidence to change their outlook on life. We aim to demonstrate the simple but transformative power of exercise in improving well-being and life satisfaction.
Established over 20 years ago, the Open Door Centre responds to the needs of socially isolated and marginalised individuals in Colne and surrounding areas. They provide a safe, nurturing, and friendly environment for those experiencing vulnerability. Our partnership hopes to bring communities closer and open the door to new opportunities.
There are no fitness exclusions, complete beginners to experienced are welcome. Let’s feel better together!
