New Pendle Wavelengths Studio Takes Shape as Pendle Leisure Trust Confirms What’s Coming Soon

Pendle Leisure Trust, working in partnership with Pendle Borough Council on the construction of the new Pendle Wavelengths Studio—a purpose-built facility developed as part of the Nelson Town Deal—can now reveal what the people of Pendle can look forward to.

Scheduled for completion in March 2026, this landmark project marks a major step forward in enhancing leisure and wellbeing services across Pendle, giving the community greater access to health-focused activities and inclusive spaces.

The new multi-functional studio will offer residents and Pendle Leisure Trust members the chance to experience Reformer Pilates, a low-impact, full-body workout designed to improve core strength, flexibility, and posture. This tailored exercise not only enhances body awareness but also supports mental health and overall well-being.

In addition, XR2—a popular class at Pendle Leisure Centre in Colne—will soon be available at Pendle Wavelengths. XR2 combines strength, power, endurance, conditioning, and mobility through dynamic workouts using free weights and cardio equipment.

Up & Active will also deliver regular sessions designed to be supportive and accessible for those managing health conditions, while helping to build confidence and encourage movement.

We’re also excited to introduce Lü, an innovative system that transforms any space into an interactive environment where movement becomes an immersive experience. Designed for young people, Lü encourages exploration, play, and interaction by blending fun, fitness, and technology.

As part of the Nelson Town Deal funding, we’re also investing in a highly interactive water play feature for the Wavelengths pool, scheduled for installation in early December. Stage two of the project, scheduled for early 2026, will include a full upgrade and refurbishment of the changing cubicles.
