Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering (QCF)
This qualification is aimed at caterers and other food handlers working in the catering industry.
Learners gaining this qualification will know that food safety is the responsibility of everyone involved in the storage, preparation, cooking and handling of food. Its topics are regarded by the Food Standards Agency as being important to maintaining good practice in the production of safe food.
Achievement of this qualification will enable learners to identify how to make changes to catering practices in order to improve the safety of catering services.
This OFQUAL approved qualification has been developed specifically with full support from People 1st, the Sector Skills Council for hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism. It is therefore fully compliant with industry and regulatory standards, as well as being recognised by environmental health practitioners, auditors and enforcement officers.
There are no prerequisites for learners wishing to take part in this course.
