BBC Radio Lancashire & Children in Need LIVE Show at The ACE Centre

Wednesday, 8th November 2017

The people of Pendle are being invited along to The ACE Centre in Nelson, next Wednesday, to personally present the money they have raised for Children In Need live on BBC Radio Lancashire.

Breakfast Show presenter Graham Liver and Gilly (John Gillmore), who presents the Afternoon Show, will be broadcasting live between 7pm and 10pm on Wednesday, November 15th, as part of their epic Children In Need challenge.

And they are inviting people to go along to join them for a curry, meet Pudsey and hand over their donations.

During the evening, chefs at The ACE Centre’s Courtyard Bistro will be serving up curry, with £2 from every portion sold being donated to Children In Need.

The Radio Lancashire duo will be taking a well-earned rest from their Pedalling for Pudsey Challenge, which will see them riding a four-wheeled bicycle across Lancashire, covering over 100 miles in total, in aid of BBC Children In Need.

They set off on Friday, November 10th from the Ashton Memorial in Lancaster, and finish a week later at Blackpool Tower. During their six day ordeal, they are stopping off along the way to speak to local fundraisers and accept money on behalf of the children’s charity.

Graham Liver said: “Last year I pulled a bed across the county, which was surprisingly really hard, but it was the generous people of Lancashire who kept me going.

“This year, I’ve enlisted the help of one of Britain’s most athletic radio presenters and I just hope that Gilly’s military-style training regime isn’t too much for me!”

John Gillmore added: “Over the years I’ve done some ridiculous things for charity, but being on the Pudsey Mobile is possibly the strangest yet!

“I’ve long supported Graham’s many challenges and I’m looking forward to teaming up and raising as much money as possible for such a great cause.”
