Pendle Leisure Trust has its own physiotherapist in residence
Gemma Smith - MCSP BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, HCPC Registered Chartered Physiotherapist - is working with the Trust to help members, customers and staff with their aches and pains
Based at West Craven Sports Centre in Barnoldswick, but available for all members and customers at each of our facilities to use, Gemma provides a sports injury clinic with a very hands-on treatment approach to help all ages with gym rehabilitation, hydrotherapy and sports massages
Gemma has also created ‘Total Joint Rehab’ – a group physiotherapy course specifically designed for people with a new joint. Participants take part in group exercise rehabilitation classes, as well as having access to wound checks, specialist advice and education, with the added option of hydrotherapy sessions to further boost recovery
