The end of an era!

Friday, 1st April 2016

Today marks the end of an era as Pendle Leisure Trust Chief Executive, Phil Storey, calls time on his 46 year tenure within the leisure services.

Phil’s career with what is now known as Pendle Leisure Trust started back in 1970, when he became a pool attendant and swimming teacher, and he hasn’t looked back since. Phil worked his way up within the Trust and has served as our Chief Executive since 1995.

Phil thanked all of his staff, past and present, for the support he has received over the years saying: “I have enjoyed every minute of working, from pool attendant to CEO - it’s been a great journey.”

In a remarkable career that has seen many changes within the Borough, Phil will today retire from the Trust. Everyone here at Pendle Leisure Trust would like to wish him well and thank him for the work he has done during his tenure.

Alison Goode will take over as Pendle Leisure Trust’s Chief Executive with immediate effect.
