Pendle Leisure Trust Activity Programme is proud to provide 3-month enrichment courses across our three sites.

Our Skill and Physical courses will run for 3 months and each session will last for one hour, upon completion of the course, you'll receive a Pendle Leisure Trust certificate as evidence of your completion.

The activities listed below may count towards your Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Skills/Volunteering/Physical section, please check with your DofE Leader before booking.

Skill

Gym/Fitness Instructor Program

This course will cover various fitness-related topics, including aerobics, fitness classes, gym work, and weightlifting.

Bronze Medallion Lifeguard Training

The Bronze Medallion has been the benchmark for lifesavers all over the world. It develops knowledge, judgement and skills in rescue, personal survival and emergency care and is awarded in recognition of the ability to perform aquatic rescues in a safe and efficient manner. 
The Bronze Medallion challenges the candidate both mentally and physically. Judgment, knowledge, skill, and fitness – the four components of water rescue – form the basis of Bronze Medallion training. Candidates acquire the assessment and problem-solving skills needed to make good decisions in, on, and around the water. Many of our lifeguards who work at Pendle Leisure Trust began their careers with us on this course.

PLEASE NOTE as this is an external course the total cost is £144 which is payable to Pendle Leisure Centre

Physical

Junior Taekwondo

A Korean martial art that focuses on fast-kicking techniques and covers both a physical element.

Fitness Sessions - Circuits/Bootcamp/K08/Spin 

Do you want to take your fitness up a level? This 3-month course will cover many different aspects of fitness, from Spin Classes to boot camps, all muscles will be covered and made to work.

Junior Badminton

This is the perfect session if you want to burn fat, improve your overall health but most of all, play badminton.
