Pendle Leisure Trust is getting involved in a national initiative to help men of a certain weight improve their health and well-being.

MAN V FAT is the UK’s leading men’s weight loss programme – and it’s coming to Pendle!

Do you feel you are carrying too much weight, enjoy playing football, want to be part of a team of like-minded men and want to lose weight? Then this is for you!

The MAN v FAT Pendle Club will be held at Nelson & Colne College on Tuesdays, 7pm to 9m, starting next month.

Tuesday 1st & 8th March – Come and Try Sessions

Tuesday 15th March – Registration Night

Tuesday 22nd March – Tuesday 21st June – Weeks 1-14 of the league

Tuesday 28th June – Start of Season 2

Chris Rigby, Pendle Leisure Trust’s Healthy Lifestyles Manager, said: “This is a fantastic programme and we are really pleased to be part of it and to be able to introduce it to the men of Pendle.

“The MAN V FAT Clubs are all about playing football, receiving nutrition advice and encouraging each other – playing as a team both physically and mentally in a bid to reach the end goal of becoming fit and healthy.”

Head of MAN v FAT, Richard Crick, added: “It’s great to bring specialised and community led weight loss support to men in Pendle.

“In the time we have been running, we have shown how local men can tackle their battle with fat and come out victorious, so we’re excited to see how our new Pendle club will help men to trim their waistline and make some positive health changes in 2022.”
