After months of being closed, Pendle Wavelengths, Pendle Leisure Centre, Seedhill Athletics and Fitness Centre and West Craven Sports Centre reopened their doors for gym and swimming sessions.
Inside Spa also reopened for treatments to the same customer response.
Samantha Lamb, Manager at Pendle Leisure Centre, said: “A lot of customers have commented how good it is to be back and to get into a routine again - and how they have been counting down the days till we reopened.
“All comments have been very positive – especially towards how safe they feel, how clean the centre is and how helpful and friendly the staff have been.
“We also saw a few new faces on Monday, which was lovely and very encouraging.”
Sam Bowden, Manager at West Craven Sports Centre, said: “Everyone has been so happy to be back – with one customer saying ‘I haven’t done anything since last March and it feels like I’ve never been away!
“The feedback has been extremely positive, with everyone saying they felt safe, as well as thanking staff for their efforts in helping to get the centre back open again.”
It was the same response at Pendle Wavelengths. Centre Manager, Alison Dow, added: “We have had lots of people complimenting us on how friendly and welcoming the staff have been and how good the facilities look.
“Whether it’s been for a swim or the gym, everyone has been pleased to be back – and it’s just been so lovely seeing everyone’s smiling faces.”
Pendle Leisure Trust’s Chief Executive, Alison Goode, added: “We are delighted to be back open; and it looks like all our hard work over the last few weeks getting our centres ready has paid off, with the wonderful comments we have received which we really appreciate.
“It’s been really touching to hear the comments and see the smiles on our customers’ faces acknowledging how happy they are to be back.
“These facilities are for the whole local community to enjoy and take advantage of – so please come and use them and feel reassured they are safe. Don’t take our word for it – just look what our customers have to say!”
